What Should I Pack?
Gebirah Missions organizes trips to a wide range of destinations, each with unique circumstances. The following list offers general recommendations, but it may not cover every situation. We understand that your personal needs may vary from those of other participants, so we encourage you to use your discretion when deciding what to bring.

Can I Check a Bag?
Yes you can. To minimize the risk of lost luggage, some prefer to pack all their items into carry-on bags that are easy to manage, even in rough terrain. For trips that are cross country, consult your mission leader to confirm if your group will have any checked baggage.

Does It Matter What I Wear?
Yes, we ask that you prioritize modesty when packing. Different countries have varying cultural standards for appropriate attire, and out of respect for these, we request that men and women adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Shorts should follow the "fingertip length rule": when standing straight with arms at your sides, your fingertips should not extend past the hem of your shorts. This typically means shorts that are a couple of inches above the knee. This rule is in place for modesty.

  • Avoid wearing leggings as standalone pants.

  • Refrain from low-cut shirts or spaghetti strap tops.

Additional clothing guidelines may apply based on your specific destination.

Still unsure? Consult with the missionaries on your trip or refer to the "Missions Clothing Tips and Tricks Quick Start Guide" on the Trip Participant Page of our website for more detailed recommendations.
