Invitation to Volunteer for Tamil Nadu Mission Trip
“A man or a society that does not react to suffering and injustice and makes no effort to alleviate them is still distant from the love of Christ’s heart” (St. Josemaria Escriva, Christ is Passing By, 167).
Dear Friends,
As we celebrate the joyous birth of our Lord and Savior this Christmas, we are reminded of the words of the angels: “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.” (Luke 2:14).
The Incarnation is a profound demonstration of God's love and compassion—Jesus came to be with us in our suffering and to bring us His healing touch.
This Christmas and New Year, let us live out that love by urgently reaching out to those who are suffering in Tamil Nadu, India, after the devastating impact of Cyclone Fengal.
About the Mission:
In early December, Cyclone Fengal ravaged the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu, leaving behind destruction and chaos.
The most vulnerable, especially the Dalit (Untouchable) and Tribal communities, have been hit hardest.
These communities, already marginalized and oppressed, now face the additional struggle of rebuilding their homes and lives after the disaster.
Many families are left without shelter, clean water, or basic necessities.
This mission is an urgent call to action for compassionate individuals to lend their time, talents, and hearts to bring aid and offer Christ’s love to those suffering in Tamil Nadu, India from 28 January to 2 February 2025.
This mission is deeply rooted in our Catholic Faith, as we seek to embody Christ’s love through service, bringing hope and healing to the poorest of the poor.
